Tennis is a sport in which two or four players hit a small, light ball back and forth over a net using tennis rackets. The aim of the game is to hit the ball in such a way that the opponent is not able to return it. Points are awarded to the player who wins a rally (a sequence of strokes played back and forth), and the first player to reach a certain number of points (usually four or six) wins the game. Tennis is typically played on a rectangular court with a low net dividing it into two equal halves. It is an Olympic sport and is enjoyed by players of all ages and skill levels around the world.
